Cascading Antenna splitters

I'm thinking of ditching my Sky Digibox, however it currently powers a upstairs 4 way splitter & a couple of mice ...... All my stuff is Global Communications TV Link kit. if I add a two way amplified/splitter downstairs (In lieu of digibox) with a amp adder directly before it, will the two way splitter allow power upstream? (To the upstairs amp/splitter)

Mary had a little skirt
With splits right up the sides
And everywhere that Mary went
The boys could see her thighs.
Mary had another skirt
'twas split right up the front
..But she didn't wear that one often.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

No need for the splitter, just use a power injector _http://www.tvlink.co.uk/acatalog/tvLINK_Accessories.html

Need the 2way splitter ...... one output for downstairs tv & another required to forward off up to the next splitter on the 1st floor ........ ?So you recon' this is a goer ?

Yes it will work with the amp adder on the link up to the loft, you'll need the power injector though. Are you getting rid of the digibox for aesthetic reasons, as you could leave it in-situ and use it for FTA channels, there are channels on satellite which are not on Freeview.

Whats the diff between a amp adder & a power injector ?

I haven't used the Digibox for 18 months, the dish is rusty & looks ugly now......... We have idtv's throughout these days & the digibox is a Pace ye olde 2200 & is bound to be ready to "Cark it"

Sorry was thinking you were going to use a global type amp, but if you buy one with a power supply, then you won't need the injector, as it will send 9v up to the one in the loft.
