Instead of its usual schedule, Sky3 will be showing various programmes from each of the named channels. For example, they will be showing iCarly and Spongebob Squarepants from Nickelodeon in the morning, and Four Weddings from LIVING in the afternoon. Early evening will see rugby from Sky Sports one day, while later on, episodes of Bones and House will play out from Sky1, with I Am Legend from Sky Movies also showing. 24: Redemption will show at midnight one evening, while the small hours will be filled with content from the Box TV music channels.

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

Looks that way.

About two years ago, as a FSFS Card Holder I got a month's free Sky World.

Apart from a bit of Sport and a handful of Nat Geog/Discovery Progs, we didn't actually get much out of it - It rather reinforced our preference not to have Sky.

This particular freebie seems very restricted in scope and I can't see it gaining many converts.

Absolutely agree - they seem to be desperate to get people on their system but they could do better than this ... perhaps they should consider ...

(1) offer some decent content of their own, despite charging ridiculous amounts of money for subscriptions over the years they have made relatively few decent programmes themselves - Noel Edmonds and Shane Richie are not really enough to justify the extra expense of S_ky One. Fair play though, if you are a footie fan, they are great and certainly cheaper than travelling to the game. If you are a table tennis fan though, you have had it.

Unfortunately for them, they are also under threat from the 'illegal bit torrenters' worldwide too - why pay crazy amounts on a digibox package every month when with a bit of digging you can see it before you legally see it via the digibox...

(2) make the mixes more interchangebale, pick and mix would be exactly would allow people to choose exactly what they want - minimum of 6 'premium channels' for an affordable price per month

(3) Make the digibox EPG a bit more configurable, e.g. Why am I forced to have S4C on 104 with a Welsh Card when I would rather see "Channel 4" there - their postcode system of channel allocation actually works against what many customers want .. regional ITV should be interchangeable also

(4) ok, I am dreaming now but ... offer BBC channels in their own Sky package with a card for all those outside 2D zone which would secure a huge number expats would get a card for this purpose to ensure a customer base

Oh well, off the soap box now.

Interestingly that only EVER been requested by expats living outide the 2D zone

It would also deprive a million freesat viewers who have no ci capabilities on their Freesat boxes

This was of course meant, "in addition to Freesat" - actually as an expat I think Freesat is a great idea even though it deprives us expats of BBC etc.
