Sky message: telephone line not connected

Need help here anyone. I have my eye on a used Grundig 310 Digibox here in Portugal to pair with the NASN card. It seem that a message appears when you turn it on which it says that it's not connected to a phone line. I've checked the Sky User Guide and on page 49 it says it's because of the interactive services. It does disappear after a few seconds but is this normal? Can you eliminate it? Or is this a Digibox that had a subscription contract for 1 year and was not fulfilled to the end?

Thanks. I think this is a good deal, since it's just for one pay channel plus it is been said that this Grundig is great for weak reception areas.

If I am outdated on this info, then I might go for the Pace, but it is more expensive. I just think that for one channel, the Grundig is suffice, but if my reception for the S1 beam here in Portugal is compromised, then I will definetly go for the Pace. Opinions are welcomed.
