Sky reception for Barcelona

Hello!!
I'm new on this and I want some advices before I begin to buy things.
My idea is to see Sky UK in Barcelona.
I only have a Sat receiver Kaon 570.
I asked to an installer and told me that for good reception of Sky I will need a 110cm dish, is it correct? I read that 90cm is enough, but maybe for a better reception 110cm could be fine.
I know that I will need a pcmcia cam for the receiver, but I don’t know which want I need.
When I have all ready, how can I subscribe to Sky?
Thanks in advance.

My System: 43cm Dish, Sky Plus V2, Thomson DSI6210 Sky+160, Thomson DSI4214, Gibertini 104cm, Invacom SNH-031, 12inch 36v Actuator, Technomate Vbox-II, TF5000CI, TM-5200D, Sling Media, Rover ST-4, Rover SDM-1s, 42E to 30W, Tecatel 1.35m fixed on 28e

Welcome to satellites,

As far as reception goes, in that region, I beleive an 85cm is sufficient enough to catch 2d spot beam. I know a pal of mine set up a temp feed and had it on an 80cm but to play safe and cover rain fade, a 1Mtr + would be a wise option I'd say.

My System: Sky Plus V3 TDS 470n, Pace 2600CI, Thomson Sky HD, Technomate 1000D, Prodelin 1.8m dish + Invacom Quad C120, CM feed, Lacuna/Wolsey V3 meter

Most users say 90 cm is OK for 24/7 reception.
You won't be able to get Sky using the receiver you have.
It is possible with the right cam, but you have to return the card to a Sky receiver once a month or the card will go dead.
You can only get this set up working if you have a legitimate working Sky subscription.

And how i can get a sky subscription? Is it possible?

Do you recommend me that I buy a sky receiver?

Thanks for the answers.

You will have to get a friend in the UK to organise one for you, or use an agent that specialises in subscriptions for mainland Europe.
