Hi Dan1974, welcome to the forum.

It may be simply that your dish and LNB skew needs tweaking, or could be that you need a larger or better quality dish to achieve 24hr reception. (not sure how good the Lemon dishes are)

It is a common occurrence in fringe reception areas, loads of threads on this. Can you take some pictures of your dish and LNB and upload them?

That's weird. Those should be pretty easy channels to receive as they are on 2A/2B. I thought it might have been the sun but after a check I found that it is about 10 degrees lower than the satellite at this time of year (Helsinki).

Hello Huevos
Thanks for your reply, i also think it is weird, the other channels i lose are sky 1 and all the national geographic channels, its very annoying. My sky box is displaying about 70% signal strength but 100% signal quality.
SOMEBODY HELP ME

I believe all those channels that you mention are on the _www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/astra2b_south.html and vertical so they might not be as easy for you to receive as me. Did you receive them solidly in the past? If so it might just be down to cleaning your cable joints and checking the alignment (has it been windy lately). By the way signal level/quality is for the default transponder.

The default Transponder is 11778 V and is the one that carries all the Platform data eg EPG, Programme Info, Firmware Download etc.

When you look at the Signal Strength/Quality, the Box looks at that Transponder too. It matters not a jot what Channel the Box was previously set to.

Hello Pedro
The other cables are stereo and tv antenna and there are no earth clamps the black cable from the lnb goes direct to sky box no junctions or anything else. The box behind dish is a junction box for the tv antenna

The Sleepy Hollow pollracle has spoken!

Just out of curiosity, you say you're using a sky+ box, but all I can see is a Single output LNB, you aren't using a splitter in the line are you?

If it's all working OK it doesn't sound like anything from there and it looks like it's mostly behind the dish .. but it's not impossible some of that kit is carrying something it doesn't like ... you could even have a bit of juice on an rf cable from a leaky telly or something... maybe worth a quick meter check.

where do they go... just one property?

Yes they all just come to my house, the stereo antenna is not being used but the tv one is, just to one tv. I have just ordered a new lnb with twin output so i can start to use sky+ properly, when i got the sky+ box i didn´t know you needed two cables to the box. The lnb i have ordered is an inverto silver tech 0.2db twin output lnb, so i am hoping this may help. Any comments on the new lnb are welcome i got it recommended in an other forum.

The inverto is a nice LNB, use them frequently, still think that your main problem is dish size though and on looking at the photo, that is a very big dish for that diameter mast.

Very good point Rolfw, especially if that's ali or thin steel- not suitable sat pole stuff unless it's a smaller dish &/or far less critical signal wise... that can actually make it much more difficult for a very successful fine alignment due to the pole tending to crush if you tighten it up properly (very frustrating compared to being on a very solid & anchored pole)...... and movement on the pole from the aerials being buffeted in the wind.....

You could consider anchoring the pole above to prevent movement of the aerials or better still fit a solid satellite bracket.

what does that mean, although it is like somebody flicks a switch on astra 2 because it goes from no signal to perfect picture in a couple of minutes, today it came on around 12 and all the channels come back at the same time sky1 sky news sky sports 1,2,3 and all national geographics very strange
