From what Ive seen on other forums the blue cards will not work in a sky box once the white card is paired, but will work in a linux box until the current authorisations run out.

Exclamation Please insert new viewing card message.

Now getting regular on screen message please insert new viewing card. Mine are still on the way from UK hope the message doesn't come up on recordings, otherwise my wife will be most upset as it blocks out about one third of the screen!!

As a matter of interest, did it affect the recording?

No Effect on Recording

Hi Paul
As far as we can tell message had no effect on recording. Although when message is showing you can't change channel or start a recording until you press back up to delete message. Hope this helps.

Our new card arrive today. It took just 30 seonds to initialise, although the record function on the Sky+ box still doesnt work so its not a full pairing of the card to the box

(Our original digibox broke over 2 years ago so I just bought a new sky+ box and swapped the card over We only have the basic 6 pack so it didnt matter if the blue card wasnt paired. Never really had any need for the record function and every time Ive tried to ring sky to get it paired I cant get through andf get cut off. So sod it )
