My System: Humax Foxsat HD+??
Help needed for novice to set up Freesat in Mallorca

Hello. To start with I am a complete novice who knows nowt obout setting up Sat Rig. I live just outside Palma, Mallorca. One thing I do know is how fed up (after 15 years of Spanish TV)I am. I have a little land so I can now set up a dish. I have just bought a secondhand (1yr old)Humax Foxsat HD and I would like to know if anyone could advise me on what would be the best Dish/LNB/Cable (or other bits) to link up with Humax. Where could I get em? Here on island or on net?(anyone in Mallorca got secondhand dish and bits?)Im pretty skint so Im looking for a economical solution before I buy new(if I really have to I will). But all sugestions welcome. I have recently been to England and I realised how much I miss the BBC etc.I would love to watch it again.

Thanks alot. Ian, Mallorca

Hi,

The first thing you need to do is to get a large dish. Surprisingly Gibertini 1.5m is reported to be adequate for your area, which are not too costly new.

See this thread:-

Gibertini 1.5M with CM feedhorn

Think we have covered this in the last threads you raised Willardski (merged to).

It's a Gibertini 1.5m, performs best using a c120 and CM feed.
