Dark Box HD rev 2008 setup

Bought a Dark Box HD Rev 2008 last year from Digital Satellite Systems in Albufeira Algarve Portugal... who seem to have gone bust. In the meantime I have struggled to restore some of the Sky subscription channels I used to be able to get using a Sky card from the UK, eg Sky Sports and all HD. All Freeview channels seem OK.

Have Sky changed anything since Aug 2008 that might block some subs channels, although I can get stuff like Nat Geo?

I have also fiddled with the menu system of the Dark Box and have probably screwed it up. Am assuming I should be only using Astra 2, but what's all the DISEqC stuff and what TP (whatever that is) should I be scanning? Needless to say the handbook is more confusing than the screen.

I really someone to give me a simple a, b, c to re-set the Dark Box to make full use of the new sky card I've brought from the UK.

As far as I know your non-Sky receiver will not update the subscription card, with most channels losing authorisation after a month or so. The only way to get them back will be to put the card in the original Sky digibox.

The Dark Box used to unscramble subscribed channels every time I inserted the UK Sky card. I think I might be using the wrong frequency. What is the correct frequency for Sky etc on Astra 2 in the Algarve?
