Minimum dish size for Sky/SkyHD in Limassol-Cyprus

Hi all,
First of all i would like to say i was amazed by the amount of info that can be found here.
Hopefully someone here will help me with my question. I have just returned to Cyprus and brought a Sky (Pace) HD box which i wish to use. The main issue is that i would like to keep the dish size to a minimum but being able to receive most of the Sky channels (incl. the HD channels).
I've read that instead of using a 3.8/4.2m prime focus dish i could use the much smaller 1.8m offset dish. Is this valid? Would that guarantee that i would receive trouble-free reception? Anyone has experience with such a setup?
Any information (also extra information outside the questions asked) would be much appreciated.
Kind Regards
Christophoros - Limassol/Cyprus

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Firstly if you want BBC/ITV you will need a 3m dish minimum. We get a lot of the HD channels here, sports movies and some documntaries but i am not sure what the minimum size for those channels, as most people have the 3m.
A 1.8m will give you many of the SD sky package channels but not movies.
We cant get BBC HD, but we can get CH4 HD.

Thanks a lot for your response. To be completely honest i am not really interested for BBC/iTV. Im more interested for Sky Movies (1-9 if i recall well) Sky Sports and all their subsequent HD channels.
I am particularly asking about a 1.8m offset dish because of some info i found here: _http://www.skycyprus.com/index.php?pr=SKY_TV_in_TRNC
states that with such a dish, is sufficient to receive HD broadcasting.
I appreciate all the input.
Thanks a lot
