No I mean loose C120 flanges,(type as fitted to the Invacom) I know they are used extensively in the petrochemical industry for instrument piping. `

Can I use this feedhorn with the 0.3db invacom c120?
In this case one end would be useless (the bottom one I suppose), do I remove that section then?

I don't have the feedhorn but you never know when you'll find a good deal..

Please see the attached picture.

I don't really understand what you are trying to achieve?

That is a OMT with two SMW LNBs and a Channel Master feedhorn bolted onto it.

The OMT got WR-75 flanges and shall be used with WR-75 flange LNBs like the SMWs or Norsat.

My System: Sky Plus V3 TDS 470n, Pace 2600CI, Thomson Sky HD, Technomate 1000D, Prodelin 1.8m dish + Invacom Quad C120, CM feed, Lacuna/Wolsey V3 meter

An Invacom C120 will bolt onto the feedhorn directly, you can lose everything else.
Use a Quad QDF-031, it's the best one they make.

OK
Similar to post #28, I guess my question was already answered.

Likvid:
Sorry for the confusing question, I'm used to see LNBs like the 'Smart Titanium TSX LNB', not the C120 type.

Thanks!

Managed to get the time to install the smart LNB with C120 flange on to an Invacom feedhorn, reception was ok,till 19-00 hrs then the signal died,
I replaced it with an Ivacom single LNB,and received a pixelated picture for about another hour.
It seems obvious that the Satellite moves its position,55% quality to 0 in the space 45 minutes tends to confirm to me,that nothing will change untill the
Satellite is repositioned.

So the modification of the Smart didn't improve your reception compared to using it uncut and attached to your feedhorn?!?

Type E

And you need the optional LO +/- 1MHz for both LNBs, then you get the best they have to offer.

You can't get any better LNBs on the market.

I have a few receivers which i have aquired on my travels,
1xSamsung 9500 2ci
1xHumex fta fire
1X ID (Humex) 1 ci
1x SAB 760 2ci (best tuner)
1x Coship 3800 2ci
1x Sony 760 uk digibox
1x Pace 2600 uk digibox
1x Pace 2600 Italian digibox

For the BBC (Astra 2D) I use the SAB as it has the most sensitive tuner,i have never managed to get the Digiboxes working with the large dish, use it mainly for ch 4/5 ect on an 80 cm Fuba Dish.

Just an other thought about prices,i am shocked sometimes at the prices some suppliers charge. In Holland, from a high street shop a Smart 0.2 LNB
costs 14 Euro,a single output 13Deg/19Deg Monoblock is about 25 euro.
I have seen these advertised on the Net,at sometimes double these prices.
Likvid is right, profit on this equipment is very marginal, but there still seems to be a market for it.
