old digiboxes

I think this might but one of these dont believe it til you see it things but here goes.
the boss at work reckons that he can get free PPV premier league on his digibox without subscription. i told him that after he had 'bought' the equivelent of £50 worth it would not let him have any more until he connected it to a phone line and then he would get billed. he reckons this isnt the case as it is an old digibox.

he's talking rubbish isnt he?

My System: 1200cc with 100,000,000,000 neurons and 100,000,000,000,000 connections

Almost certainly just another variant of the supposed PPV ‘hack’

But as you say, only believe it when you see it, so why not ask him for a demonstration?

Also is it definitely Sky UK via satellite, and not sky channels via cable or foreign channels?

if he is getting it then it is definatly UK sky from Eurobird.
is there a way of knowing how much 'credit' (how much of the supposed £50 limit) you have left? otherwise i would have to wathc a lot of footy round his to see if it ever stops

There is no way to check how much credit there is left, but if it really does work why not ask him to show you the start of a dozen or so movies. If he is reluctant it is probably because he doesn't want to waste what credit is left on his system.

Also the Sky UK channels are mostly from Astra 2, the stuff on Eurobird is normally channels not run by Sky or because space is tight on Astra2
