My System: Pace 430N Thomson 160 Dell 8250 PC
Question Mpeg blocking on SKY box?

Within a day of SKY installing a SKY+ multiroom system,
1x SKY+ and existing Pace receiver,
the Pace receiver started blocking and shimmering on channels.
Like an early Atari Games console - on footie matches - yukk! ITV1 has it the worst, other channels like long play DVD recordings.

Could my Pace receiver be on its death bed so soon (only a few months old, August 2005)?

Or have the SKY installers cocked something up?

The SKY+ receiver has no picture problems, but its not on the same LNB feed as the Pace.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

I would get them back, whichever way you look at it, it is down to them. Either the cable run or connections to the Pace are defective, the LNB or Pace itself and all are still under guarantee.

Hi Rolf,

You don't think it's a receiver fault, then?
When I put this problem to Pace, excepting LNB feed problems, they were suggesting tuner malfunction.

It could be a tuner fault, but as I said, everything, from the installation to both of the digiboxes are still well within the guarantee period, you can check the pace by connecting it to one of the Sky+ feeds to double check I guess.
