Astra 2D Reception: Dish Size Survey

The BIG 28.2E Dish Size survey

Welcome to the BIG Sky Digital survey. Please click HERE and enter your location in to our map and enter the size of your dish your using to receive Sky Digital 28.2E. Also please add any notes e.g. "No Channel 4 at night" If you can't receive 28.2E please enter "No signal here". We hope to build a clear picture of what is needed to receive 28.2E in fringe reception areas around Europe and that this will benefit other members in the future when setting up a new system.

Sorry, Googlemap not currently available as it has not been updated for latest vBulleting versions

Message to all who post a map pin, please add the relevant reception info, I know there isn't a lot of room, but a statement like "1.8m, all BBC+ITV" would suffice, it has to be 30 characters or less. Below is the sort of thing we are looking forEdit, now 50 characters

Please add the relevant reception info, otherwise the map will have no value whatsoever

I know there isn't a lot of room, but a statement like "1.8m, all BBC+ITV" would suffice, it has to be 50 characters or less.

PS. This map is only for the reception of Astra 28.2 degrees East, particularly Astra 2D.

As a childish joke, one presumes. Like the people who are in the easternmost areas of the Middle East and claim to pick up 2D with a 50cm dish...

More likely that they just think it's a location map for members' where abouts, unfortunately due to the nature of it, we can't edit the entries.

PS, is this Daku from The Den?

well I would update the chart if it allowed me! Munich, Germany - 1 metre dish receive all channels on a Sky box and separate FTA receiver (mainly for 19.2 E FTA plus Premiere but also picks up Astra 2) bog standard LNB (0.3 dB)

Nothing personal gentlemen, Chris has had to take it off line this morning temporarily, as it was possibly causing a couple of serious database errors.

Hi Hex, good to see you here.

How's things?

@ All - Unfortunately the Google Map does not work with the latest vBulleting releases and we're not sure whether there will be an update, so we may have to start from scratch using another method.

LOL, may well take you up on that. Looks like an 80cm will be fine for your British TV reception, so no huge expenditure.
