New Format EPG? Not here!

Hi All,
According to Ch 999 on SKY, and ads, we should now be receiving the new 2 page/15 category EPG. Well I am not - not yet anyway. Is it in fact being transmitted? If so how do I get my receiver to update, I receive all other changes OK (11778) as far as I know. I did change my receiver 2 months ago and SKY were informed in order to get the card and receiver matched etc. I get all channels I subscribe to (family package, or whatever it is called these days) BUT I notice on other channels I get the message "This is the wrong card for this Set Top Box".
Any help will be appreciated,
Geoff

Sky+ boxes are being updated first. Dont be impatient, the updates will come for the other types sooner or later.

Many thanks for that. I have to admit that I tend to be impatient, not a trait I am proud of. I did not realise they updated boxes by type/make of box, and the ads suggest the update has been carried out for all.
Cheers,
Geoff

I would imagine the non Sky+ boxes will start to get their updates this week sometime.

your card has not been matched to the new box yet.Did sky ask you for your new box details? You should tell them to re send the signal.

Hello again Zorba,
Well when I installed the new box we got virtually no channels at all. Rang SKY and they asked for all such details, I was advised the update (Box to Card) would take between 1 and 8 hours. In fact it took about 90 minutes, after which we got all the channels we subscribe to. So I have no problem at the moment. I am reluctant to phone SKY again as their long-delay queing system makes any such call mighty expensive (especially from overseas = Cyprus). In fact if I do have to ring them again I'll probably get family in UK to do it for me.

Incidentally, regarding EPG, I notice that since my original message starting this thread that the SKY adverts about it NOW have the banner "Updates will be taking place troughout the rest of January and February".

Geoff
