Poland: problems with SkyDigital after a period of not using the digibox...

Hi,


I had been using sky for many months and everything worked fine. When I moved houses, the digibox was just lying in the storage room for some time.

Now, when I finally installed everything I find that I can no longer enjoy my favourite Channel 4 nor five. I have read here, that it is probably because my card has been deactivated. Is it true that it will re-activate automatically after few days?

Another thing is that I have completely lost sound. I checked, and all the scarts are fine. I noticed that when I use volume buttons on my remote, the little red light on the box doesn't flash, as it does when you push other buttons...
Can anyone advise me how to fix this?

I will be very grateful, as I re-installed sky partly because I need to record some stuff for English phonetics course at my uni, and I need to do it fast:/

Do I have to get another card? I have a friend in Channel Islands, so I can use her help in calling sky or whatever, but I don't know how the process of getting a new card work or what I actually should do.


PS. note to those interested: I live in Torun (North-Central Poland) - I use 90cm dish and do not receive BBCs, ITVs or other 2D channels

If you leave the card in the box and the box on Sky News overnight.

That should re-activate the card.

Volume problem - can you change the volume on the receiver? May be a problem with the remote.
