My System: Live in a shared flat with a communal satelitte system. Want Sky+HD in a bedroom with only 1 feed. There are 2 feeds in the lounge but dont want to install in the lounge |
My girlfriend and I share a split level flat in a building with a communal system. I want to get Sky+HD installed in our bedroom but only have 1 sat socket. There are 2 sat sockets in the main downstairs room though. What is the cheapest and easiest way to get Sky+HD in the bedroom? Can i set something up that will send the signal upstairs but wont allow the downstairs TV to pick it up? Im not paying for other people to get a free ride (baa humbug!!)

My System: Zone1, DSI8215 SkyHD, Thomson DSI4214, TF5000CI, Dreambox DM800 HD PVR - Nab BH0.12, TM-5200D, Gibertini 104cm, SNH-031, 36v Actuator, Vbox-II, 42°E to 30°W, Sling Media, Televes H45 Digital Processing Analyser, Satlook Micro+G2 NIT, Rover SDM 1s | Welcome to satellites.co.uk, Forget wireless. You could call in an installation engineer to extend any un-used points in the downstairs room to the upper room. This will be a hard wired extension with visible cable. Also consider the Stacker / De-stacker. Or call in the management company who may be able to help with an additional bedroom point. SM

My System: TM6800HD, TM1000, TM600 Linux,TM5200, TM2200 motor, Triax TD110 dish + Fortec 85cm. Meter=Satlook Micro+G2 NIT | Make up a long length of satellite coax with an f-plug on each end. One goes into the socket downstairs, the other to your Sky+ box.
