diy installation of sky hd box

Hi I have just bought a pace sky hd box on Ebay I am already a sky + customer on the front of the there is a sticker that says note to the installation engineer! it is imperative that the over air software download is performed before call back what does this mean I have to do and what else will I have to do to get the box up and running ? Thanks Darren

To perform an over the air software update follow the procedure below:

>Unplug receiver from mains
>Press and hold back up button on front of receiver and plug power back in
>Hold back up button until all lights remain on (approx 20 sec), then let go
>Leave until this has finished
>Wait a further minute for re-boot and then bring box out of standby

You will need to call sky to pair the card to the new box. For subs Hd content, you'll need an Hd package subscription.

but before you do all of this make sure that you have connected your receiver to the sky dish first
