2 years ago I got set up with Sky HD here in Frankfurt with a firm in Germany that supplies and activates Cards. I have organised the subscription to Sky via this company and have paid this company an annual admin fee so that they can organise a UK address etc. for nearly 2 years now. I have paid a subscription to SKY for 55.75 a month by Barclaycard for the last 2 years. The barclaycard is registered to my address in Germany. All has gone well for 2 years but now Sky have somehow found out that the Barclaycard used is registered to a German address and have deactivated the viewing card. But blow me down I am still being charged 55.75 amonth for the subscription. Barclaycard tell me they cannot refuse to pay. The company who have supplied me are telling me that they have not charged me my annual admin fee and as far as they are concerned I am no longer a customer of SKY. I wonder whether I shouldnt just ring SKY up come clean and tell them about my situation in an endeavour to stop the sub going through on Barclaycard again. What are your thoughts on this? Mine could well be a very cautionary tale to other Brits who use third party suppliers on the continent. Any help etc gratefully received. Thanks

Welcome to the forum cityboy12 How do you know they have found out?, whatever you need to contact sky but can do so using a mobile but hiding the CLI before dialling. In any case suppose you had an address in both countries, they are taking the money so there is no reason for them to deacativate your card unless this is to do with the new card rollout.

My System: sky hd | Thanks but i have found out because the company I used in Germany told me that from time to time SKY check details from customers. The course of events briefly is as follows. 1. One evening my card shows on all sports and movie channels etc that I must ring SKY to uograde my subscription. 2.I rang up the German provider I used. 3 The German organisation that set it up invesigated through their contacts in the UK and the message I got from this German firm was that SKY had found out it was a credit card with a foreign address and were obliged to deactivate the viewing card. But as I said SKY are still deducting my subscription. I am at a loss what to do ? Cheers

I do not know why you are dwelling on this, you could have recently moved out to Germany from the UK, you could be in the army and currently based in Germany, you need to think a bit out of the box IMHO but speak to them as soon as you can
