My System: 1.25m offset dish for Astra2 28deg., 1.2m dual feed for Astra1 and Hotbird, Thomson Sky HD, Humax HDCI2000, Dragon CAM, Invacom 0.3 twin lnb, Dell Dimension 4400 and Inspiron 1525, 1 meg broadband
New EPG & default transponder

Can anyone with the new EPG confirm that the default transponder has changed to 11856 V???
I'm praying it's not as this transponder is weakest in my area.......
regards

It is, but you can always change it back in the installer menu.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"

Damn it!
The problem with changing the default is the fact that I've got a thomson box.......
Thomson box + no default transponder = regular box crashes, lost Anytime programmes and failed recordings due to 'power cut'!!

Can you please tell me how to change the default transponder ? I came across a thomson HD with new menu layout and all I could find was add channels, and in this case it couldn't find any frequencies until the nth attempt( suspect the power supply now) but would still like to know how to change the default transponder as 1.778V is getting weaker here.

My System: Thompson sky HD box, Pace 2600CI box, 3.2m primefocus ,C120, Nova(Greece), Technomare TM6900, HD suisse, Orbit

Under the Settings options, highlight picture option, then press 0, 1 select and will take you the menu that you can change the default frequency.

Thanks

Some good news for us on the fringe.
Sky Movies Premiere HD, Sky Screen 2 HD, FX HD and Sky Anytime HD have all moved off 11856 V on 2A North to 12012 V on 2B.
I wonder why? And has the EPG been moved too???

It may be good news for Italy, but I have now lost all those channels.

Why don't Sky do the obvious thing and use their South beam TPs for all the big subscription channels?

Damn, sorry BluePlatinum, I forgot Astra 2B North is weak in Spain. Guess it wasn't such good news after all.
Anyone any idea why 11856 V is being cleared out???

Hi m8,
My Thomson 004 series box updated last night to the new HDEPG. However the 'default transponder' did not change, it was still on 11778 V.
Are you saying that yours changed to 11856, V??
Or is it that the new EPG is broadcast from 11856, V????
regards
D.

Well, I have to say I was worried about nothing! Got the new EPG this morning and.......
The famous 'failed, power cut' bug seems to be gone!
Yes, no more failed recordings even though they haven't occurred yet! Fantastic.
Also, at least so far, the box has not returned automatically to 11778 V since I manually changed to a different transponder.
This means I can go in the planner now during the time 11778 is at it's weakest and not have all future recordings and my Anytime programmes disappear.
Very happy indeed!
regards
D.
