My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

If you ring Sky with specific problems they can give you a one use pin to access the health check to give them some diagnostic info.

Ignore it - theres nothing of any interest in there for the average user.

Having seen the first HD box with new firmware earlier this week , I have to ask why did they bother ?

All graphics are in blue and white, you have to press the OK button (often more than once) to access sub-menus - rather than using the centre buttons like a PC mouse - and everything is on a horizontal scrolling system rather than a tree, leading to frustration by the end user.

And where is the hard drive 'housekeeping' function ?

They really should have employed someone experienced in remote ergonomics, befor releasing this.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"
