My System: Dreambox 500s, gemini v3.30 80cm dish 1.0w |
I picked up my Pace HD box today, I am waiting for the installer to put me another feed in. I live in a flat so we share a dish, in my loft we have the main box I think it is a 12 way one, and has 4 spare feeds. The dish has a 4 cable LNB, these go into the 12 port box in the loft. My main question is can I use the SKY box with just 1 feed intill the installer turns up? The guy in the shop said I could but it would mean when I try to record it could make the box freeze and would need to be unplugged. I have just connected 1 feed and it is locked on but it's saying 'no satellite signal' Am I trying something that won't work, did the guy in the shop give me the wrong information? Thanks

My System: Dreambox 500s, gemini v3.30 80cm dish 1.0w | Sorry I should have told you how I did it! Sorted the second feed out myself in the end, used the existing tv socket on the wall and cable, connected a coax to satellite adapter to the socket on the wall, joined the coax in the loft to a satellite cable and connected it to the feed box and that was it!! £11 in cables and connectors, saved myself some cash in the end ![]() Discovery HD looks very nice indeed.

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me. |
An enterprising solution!
