My System: Sky HD+ & SKY +
Upgraded from Sky + to HD and Magic Eye no longer works

I upgraded my Sky + box yesterday to HD and now my previously working magic eye in another room no longer works? I can recieve the picture on the secondary TV and the LED is lit up on the magic eye yet I cannot control the sky HD box or change any channels?

Does anyone have any suggestions on this please?

I am using a Glabal Magic Eye with a Global Distribution box in the loft, all of which was working fin until the sky box was changed for HD??

Many thanks

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

Do you have the RF2 power enabled? This is the 9v supply for TV Link that is superimposed on the RF2 output.

Not sure where the option is on anything but a standard box!

Edit: Silly me - you've said the LED is lit

All connections need to be well made with these gadgets. Unplug and reconnect firmly (or just jiggle about a bit) (The leads, of course!).

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

I've found on occasions that if the loft amp is separately powered, the 9v still needs to be turned on in the installer menu on the digibox.

I've also found that some magic eyes don't work with HD boxes, think they were the Triax ones.

My System: Various digiboxes, broken Nokia 9800S, numerous analogue boxes. My lovely little lappy, HP Omnibook 6100

What remote control are you using? Have you tried using the genuine HD remote control or are you using an old one?

My System: sky plus, sky multiroom

hi

I've come across this before the box was connected up and the customer connected his magic eye to the rf2 socket on the hd box and could get a picture in the bedroom but could not change channels but the magic eye had the red light on. he sent it back to me i could not get the magic eye to work either as i have sky plus in my house swapped boxes over and got the same thing, i concluded that the hd box must have been faulty
