sound out of sync

My System: Tevion mini satellite system,
Unhappy sound out of sync

when I connect my Thomson Sky hd box thru my Panasonic home cinema sytem via optical cable the sound is well out of sync to the picture, can anyone suggest why and how to rectify.

My System: Various digiboxes, broken Nokia 9800S, numerous analogue boxes. My lovely little lappy, HP Omnibook 6100

It's due to the different processing power requirements of sound and vision.

Have a look in the Panasonic setup for something labelled Audio Delay, or the like, which will alow you to add some extra delay to the audio so as to bring it back into line.

If there's no option then have a look in the TV set-up. This is less likely though.
