My System: Sky HD Panasonic plasma
Question Using Sky free sat with CAM

OK, first this is not an attempt to copy content or any form of piracy.
I have to provide samples for cards and CAMs to check IC slots on a product.
At the moment we have some old TopupTV, Canal Digitaal etc. basic access (non subscription) packages but need more.
I know Five is avaialable in the clear on Freesat but to test videoguard compatibility I want to take a Sky Freefromsat valid card and put it in a CAM.
Can anyone suggest how to do this? I only need one channel to work, Five is good because we can compare performance with the clear version on Freesat.
Thanks.

Well

That is the problem at the moment, there is not a cam that will do that, there is currently the option of programming one of the Dragon,T/Rex,diablo range of cams to perform this function (you would have to check the forum to double check which) but it is not known yet whether this will work with the new white cards. It is also expensive as you would need a CAS interface to program it

Thanks Topper, the cost of a card programmer is fine as this is a business expense.
Guess it will be possible at some point.

I personally think it unlikely as most of the developers/hackers have now moved onto other things. To most purchasers of the CAMs the ability to read subscription cards was a secondary function. With most encryption methods now being secure and unhacked their primary use has disappeared.
