Hi, I ordered a Sky italy subscription card (mondo+cinema) online. I want to use it on a Dreambox DM 8000. How could I set up the box to view the package? I searched around and learned that the internal readers will fry the card. so could it be used with a CI cam? or is it not possible? Is it better to use a smargo card reader? Do the card need to be in the official decoder for updates? Please be patient with this newbie  | ||

Nobody really is sure what is going to be happening in the near future, certainly sky are doing their upmost to ensure that the consumer uses their equipment. My System: Dreambox with PLi-Emerald 1.09 image, Matrix revolution CAS, newcamd emu, movable dish 0.85 m, very happy indeed | I believe that they do work, but you have to use newcs as a card server, the same as with the new white card in the UK. Try to google around with "sky italia newcs" and I'm sure it'll turn up some useful links. | ||

Maybe it is better to get a smargo to protect the "investment" . What about the updates? can it happen without the official box? | |||
