My System: dreambox 500s 1.2m dish astra 28 + 19 + Hotbird 13 |
if i get a dreambox do i need a uk ftv card or a sub card to watch sky channels I know there are certain sites online that do card shareing however i dont think i would have the know how to make this option work. I have read the dreambox idiots guide unfortunatly i am still not sure and really dont think i will be until i actually get the box and play with it. any advice would be appreciated. Thanks | ||

Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser. | Yes, you will need a card if you are not going down the cardshare route. The card will need to be activated in a genuine Sky digibox. | ||

(I am assuming that she will be able to get a replacement card from sky for herself then) | ||

My System: Dreambox with PLi-Emerald 1.09 image, Matrix revolution CAS, newcamd emu, movable dish 0.85 m, very happy indeed | if she gets a replacement card for herself, then your card will no longer be updated by Sky. You will be able to watch all the channels that card is entitled to until the day that the validation dates on that card run out. From that day on, you will only be able to see the FTV channels. now, to answer your question : yes, as it will allow you to see many more channels for a few weeks, until the card is switched off. | ||
