Manhatten ST-550 PVR - retriving hard drive recordings ?

I tried today to connect the 120GB HDD I have in my Manhatten ST-550 PVR to the pc but the drive was not seen...Am I meant to be able to copy the recordings over or not ? Are they standard MPEG 2 format ?

Please help someone

My System: manhattan 550/funke 1m dish/stab 120 motor/dragon cam/

id forget it as far as i know its not possible wrong file format apparently

Due to copyright on the hard drive recording facility the content will not be viewable on anything other than another satellite receiver without conversion.

Why not output the programmes to a standard VCR , or analogue PVR ?
