Hi, I live in an apartment building and am having difficulties with my Sky. On most channels except for BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Paramount Comedy 1 +1 I get the the 'No Satellite Signal' message. The apartment building uses a Televés 7279 5x12 multiswitch to feed to 6 apartments (there are two of these for the 12 apartments). After a lot of fiddling around I have found that I can get most channels (minus Sky Premier, Sky One, Two, Three, Paramount Comedy 1, 2, 2+ (although can get 1+1)) with the option for '22 khz command' switched to the Off mode. Can anybody tell me what could be causing this? What is '22 khz command' and is it OK for it to be switched off? Thanks in advance, Nate

My System: Pace Sky+ PVR | FYI, I have been up to the roof to find the satellite and can only find this: ![]() Sky minidish with single LNB. Is this sufficient to feed to 12 boxes through 2 multiswitches? Is this even possible? Do there have to be other satellites somewhere that I have not found? Or are we looking at a shoddy set-up here?

My System: Zone1, DSI8215 SkyHD, Thomson DSI4214, TF5000CI, Dreambox DM800 HD PVR - Nab BH0.12, TM-5200D, Gibertini 104cm, SNH-031, 36v Actuator, Vbox-II, 42°E to 30°W, Sling Media, Televes H45 Digital Processing Analyser, Satlook Micro+G2 NIT, Rover SDM 1s | Welcome, This setting needs to be ON and sends a 22Khz tone to the LNb OR in your case the multi-switch. Check with other apartments to see if they are having similar problems to count out a receiver problem. You may after all have a band switching problem either with the switch OR a fault with the Quattro LNb. If this is the case your need to speak to the management company. P.S...........This is not the dish feeding the switch. There will be a larger dish with 4 output type LNb. SM

My System: Pace Sky+ PVR | Thanks for the help SM, you wouldn't believe how stressed I've been getting over this in the last two months.
Last thing then, before I hop off to Sky for (hopefully) a replacement box (it's only 6 months old);
So, from all of that, you think box fault?

Just because there are no reported problems doesn't mean the system is OK; they may just be on terrestrial only. If you turn OFF the 22khZ tone, the receiver will only receive LOW band H & V freq If no one else has Sly, then consider an incorrectly wired multi-switch (if new) with cross polarities although from your description, sound like your box is ..ck.d

My System: Pace Sky+ PVR | Thanks for the advice. I'll speak to other residents as soon as I can and find out if any of them have it. I only actually speak to two of them and know that they don't. I'll let you know the outcome ![]() Thanks again.
