My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Are the normal terrestrial channels OK?
Is the Sky picture good if you remove the terrestrial aerial input?

If it is, then you need to change the Sky box rf output channel, it can be a bit of trial and error, it is set at channel 68 as default, try moving it to other channels, not sure what the clear ones are in your area.

If the Sky channel is not good after removing the terrestrial aerial input, then check that the voltage is turned on in the installer menu (if your amplifier is powered by this), also check your connections.

To enter the Installer menu, Services/System setup/0,1,select/RF outputs.

No, I mean the picture on the second TV from the digibox rf output, when there is no terrestrial aerial input to the digibox.

Sorry for not responding - have been away for a couple of days.

This is odd.

No terrestrial ariel connected to either of tv's or sky box.

Sky picture poor on 2nd tv.
RF output was off but is now on - no difference.
Have tried different channels - not much change.

The really odd thing is freeview (built in to telly) is picking up BBC channels and a few others with pretty good quality !!

I also have my power cable to my sky box next to my coaxial as it comes through ceiling from my loft.

Cheers

My System: Motorised ASC 1.2m,1224 Supermount with C120 Invacom Quad LNB with Matched Feedhorn.

I'd normaly say maybe terrestrial aerial is recieving signals from Belmont transmitter judging by location of poster ,where mux A is located on rf68 850mhz and thats clashing with sky box(as Rolfw said) and this is causing pic interference, but if its not connected to sky box or tv then who knows lol i usually set rf 2 to 63 as is usually a clear channel.

Is anything else connected to sky box via rf leads i.e. video/virgin box etc maybe their modulator is clashing with rf 2 output

Kenny 1234

Tried that before I bought the amp using two short leads with tvs in same room.

Pictures on both were good.

Maybe the amplifier is faulty.
I am going to try without amp later today as you suggest.

Let you know how I get on.

Thanks

I ve had it before a couple of times where amp is faulty, is it a powered amp via electricity or soley by rf2?

Not teaching you to suck eggs but rem to

Double check connectors as well, what connection are you using on rf 2 is it female coax?,or male coax to female adapter?or cringe a cheap white y splitter lol?

sucking eggs can be good sometimes !

I had already checked connections etc.

Not using adapter for rf2 output (fly lead and all connectors came with amp kit)

Have bypassed my amp and picture is much much better with only faint snow (as it was when I tested it before buying the amp).
So it is worse through amp !

Looks like a trip back to Maplins !

Thanks to all for all your help and suggestions it has been most usefull.
