Extending the cables from the Sky dish

this is probably the most elementary question ever posted on this forum, but I need to know whether it is possible to add extension cables to the incoming cables for my Sky+ set-up.

the installers only left a couple of feet of cable from the wall, which was OK for the TV as it was set up, but now I am getting a wall mounted flat screen and the cables won't reach.

If it is possible to do this could I get the bits from Maplins, and what would I ask for ?
