My System: sky+ pace
Second box question

I have a pace tds470 as my main sky plus box but have been given a second sky plus box but its an amstrad drx280, have set it up in another room, connected 2 cables from the quad lnb,just switch card from 1 box to other, can watch fine, and manually record ok but anything recorded on planner on second box comes up recording interupted please wait, any suggestions as to a way round this as understood if rang sky to pair amstrad to my viewing card then main pace box wouldnt be paired correctly??

My System: IDD CI24 ECONO MM Penta 1.20 Galaxy II 1.2Mtr Polar MTG yes it has been on the arc for 21 years and is still driven by a modified wiper motor from a Ford Anglia. It's like me sometimes groans but always performs


Saved us from the black plague of ignoratio elenchi, he awaits a special badge with jugs

I do not think there is any way around this, as I understand it, the card has to be paired to the box to record from planner

If i got another pace box the same as my main box would this work??

No I believe the pairing takes place between the Sky auth server and the stb via the card so I do not think it would help unless there is some way of altering an identical box to the same ID (box) number as the original. This may be possible in some way but I have no knowledge of it

Many thanx for your help, either i'll only use 1 as pvr or will be calling sky for a multi room setup
