My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

Basically, yes - but with severe restrictions.

Common problem for Flat dwellers.

I can't add much to what has already been discussed here

Edit: When I say "Flat dwellers", I mean "those who live in Flats " ..................

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Yes, but not properly, you can use pause, but recordings can be difficult.

Edit. LOL, pipped to the post.

Not really - you were the main contributor to the linked Thread

No point in re-inventing the wheel.

If the problem is you can only bring in one cable and you have spare outputs on the LNB(eg an octo output) you can use a stacker/destacker to give you 2 independent outputs from one cable.

The situation is a holiday home with just a single LNB feed.

The guy used to take his old Ѕky box there and had no problems. But when he got Ѕky+ and took the Ѕky+ box there he said "it didn't work".

I think you are all saying if he just wants to view programmes he should be ok. But on reflection it might be that he wanted the full range of Ѕky+ features.

Forget it - it can be done but its a real kludge. Far easier to run that second cable and do the job properly in the first place..
