My System: Technomate 6800 HD. Motorised 88 cm dish Installed by Robbo Mac computers
Request for info

Have a standard s*y box. Ugly Amstrad bugger. Nine months old. Packed up. Continual window 'Insert viewing card' which doesn't work. 'Phoned them: 'Will send a new card. Takes five days' (Not the new issue)
Have been given a s*y PLUS box.
Question (At last) Will the card they are to send work in the + box.
Presumably I 'phone them to activate the card or will I need a different new card before activation ? Cheers

My System: Zone1 Dish, DSI8215 SkyHD, Thomson DSI4214, TF5000CI, Dreambox DM800 HD PVR, TM-5200D, Gibertini 104cm, Invacom SNH-031, 36v Actuator, Vbox-II, 42°E to 30°W, Sling Media, Televes H45 Digital Processing Analyser, Satlook Micro+G2 NIT, Rover SDM-1s

Best thing is to call them to activate and get them to switch on record function. Basic packages will work without box pairing.

Thanks Satelliteman. Just to get this clear: Do you mean that the card they will send (Basic Package you call it) will work in the Plus box after pairing.
had read that it is a different card ?

what ever package the old card was the new one will be the same. You'll need to call them to get record facility switched on (free to subscribers).

Existing subs sky cards are being replaced with new white ones.
