I had it paired earlier. Switched it off to see if that cured the fan. Have tried to get it back on to see the model detail etc. and it wont open. Presumably as the 'pairing' takes some time. Will try again later.
Its Thompson made if that describes it.

Yeah Laughing is a great help. Why ask if that is the only answer you are likely to dream up. I know more about Thompson than you obviously. Some good stuff comes out of France. And the phrase 'lol' is childish.

I have actually been searching the web to see if I could help and find an answer to your problem, hence asking what model you have. Guess I shouldn't have wasted my time.

My System: AZbox HD Gibertini 85cm dish 4 way Diseqc switch........ linksys access point connected to Azbox..

aileen....flaming a responder is not going to gain you any favours, I didn't think kenny was being childish as Thompson boxes are known to be crap just do a forum/Google search. As far as I know the fan should always be running on Sky + box because it's doing it's stuff with anytime (could be wrong though)...Lighten up, you will get the answer your looking for eventually..cheers

My System: Sky+ HD, TM-3500 D+ USB PVR, CD Total (FI)

Swap the HDD to a cooler one. There's a lot of talk about modding your Thomson on another AV-related site, where ppl swap the HDD, fan and caps in the PSU.

Sorry, this was for HD box. I have no experience with the +box

Sure kenny was only trying to help; after all the word 'lol' is regularly used on forums and doesn't always refer to as laughing.
