My System: Skymaster DCI9900 + PC/twinhan combination. 80cm dish. GBPVR with 2 DTTV cards +hauppauge Media MVP | The magic eye changes channels on the S_y box, but the volume is controlled on the TV set, so the S_y remote needs to be programmed with the TV code as well. Are you using an additional remote or the same one as you use for the S_y box and if so has that perhaps been programmed to operate the downstairs TV? So, you should have a co-ax cable coming from the RF2 on the S_y box, into the magic eye which is plugged in to the upstairs TV....yes?

My System: Various digiboxes, broken Nokia 9800S, numerous analogue boxes. My lovely little lappy, HP Omnibook 6100 | Which channels are you saying it doesn't change? If it's the ones on the upstairs TV then the answer is as per pgh13's reply. If it's the downstairs Dodgybox then that's another matter.

My System: sky +, soon to be HD | cheers for the replies. The remote is the original sky plus remote from the reciever downstairs, it still works downstairs, but when you try and use the remote upstairs with the magic eye it does nothing, the magic eye sensor flashes when you press buttons but nothing actually happens when you press them ie: tv guide showing on screen, sky channel changing etc. any ideas?

GBPVR with 2 DTTV cards +hauppauge Media MVP | Well, it sounds as if the eye may be faulty (can you test it on a friend's system?) or there's a problem with the cable. Are there any splitters or amplifiers in the cable? It may be getting power but there needs to be a return path for the signal back to the S_y box

My System: sky +, soon to be HD | what could the prob with the cable be? it was brand new co-ax, no splitters and no amplifiers, it just runs straight from my living room, up thru some ducts to the loft and back down into the bedroom, no face plates or anything used. only thing i could think of is i have a male connector on the co ax on the sky side with a double female adaptor between it and the rf2 output, could this cause a prob?

My System: Sky+ DRX280 Amstrad, Pc..Dell Dimention C521 | You do realise there are two different types of 'magic-eye', one for normal TV and then one for Satalite, you couldn't have got the wrong type by mistake could you ?
