My System: Sky+ Pentium 4 @ 3.2Ghz 1GB Kingston RAM 280GB HDD ATI Radeon 9800XT |
Been trying to get my head around the equipment and cables needed to transfer TV programmes from my Sky+ box to my computers HDD. From what I can gather reading the forums I need to get a TV capture card or more preferable to me an external USB capture card. I have been considering the Hauppauge WinTV-USB2 capture device and would like to know if this device is capable of receiving the video played from the 'Record to DVD mode' on the Sky+ box. Also I have no idea what extra cables would be needed to transer the picture and sound from the Sky+ box to the capture device. Sorry if this has been answered before but I would like to be sure of what I will likely buy over the internet. Thanks for any help in advance.

Blog Entries: 5 My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser. | It seems to have an S-Video input, so should be fine with just an S-video cable and sterio sound lead.
