My System: 1.25mt steel dish Inverto Quad LNB Digibox:Pace ds430N and Pace sky+
Pin Code for sky card.

Can anyone shed some light on this please?

I have a sky digital card and have been trying to get the parental control working on it. I was told that the default number should be the last 4 digits on your sky card number. I have tried this without any success. When I initally ordered the card, the first was faulty so a second one was issued (my current one). Could it be that they still have the first card registered hence I cannot use the number or is there some other problem that is escaping me. I have never used it so I know that I haven't changed it at anytime.

Regards to all

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 5 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

The pin number is the last 4 digits of the first card used in the box (unless subsequently changed)

If you dont know the number the only way to reset it is to ring sky.

Sorry - Incorrect.

Assuming you have the box connected to the phone line, if you go into sky active it will ask you for some details about how you pay - last few digits of your bank account number if by DD, last few digits of your credit card if by CC. It will then display your PIN on screen.
This is by far the easiest way, as the phone call is free (0800) and saves an 0845 and endless hold on the phone to sky.

You can also reset your PIN online via the sky Help Centre: _http://www.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/skyhelpcentre/accountadvice PIN Help

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

You can't use the 0800 sky interactive number from Portugal and probably not a good idea to log onto your sky account with a portuguese IP.

Shouldn't be a problem from there, as it is within their copyright area.

Sorry, didn't see the OP was in Spain.

I don't think sky are going to be that tight about monitoring IP addresses where people reset their PIN from. That would be verging on paranoia!

There are all kinds of legitimate circumstances that I can think of as to why people might be accessing their sky account from a non-UK IP, and trying to deduce an IPs location is not an exact science either.

If they have locked it down so you can't access your account at all, then fair enough. But I doubt that very much. But if they don't have it locked down then they aren't (at least in my opinion) going to be spying on you and trying to catch you out either.
