Channel Master is manufactured in the US, and therefore is 'quality' and has an extremely good gain for the relative size of dish. I have recently looked at IRTE, and its a good dish, but you have to buy a 2.4m to match the CM1.8m. Unfortunately the size is far more greater, and personally I think its huge! Then you have to work out the shipping costs of these large dishes, and that is another large cost. There are others such as in Poland ect. Vistit the link http://www.astra2d.co.uk/ and go into there links and manufacturers. There is one there and its reasonably priced, but I think its manufactured in Poland. Other manufacturers maybe SVEC (China mainly Cband), Televes (Spain), Gilbertini, ect.
Generally CM are excellent, but getting the same spec for a cheaper price with the same size dish is problematic. If there is a manufacturer out there who does comply, I would like to know. Hope I was of some help! Maybe not...!

My System: Kabel BW

Comparable quality to Channel Master should be the following ones:
Patriot, Andrew, MWO, DH
Hope i haven't forgotten any producer but since these are used mainly by professionals don't expect low prices.

Well investigation has found three new companies Supral, Laminas and Hollstar. the supral is a single piece of alluminuim, and the others are 2 part vertical composite ones like channel master.

I am investigating the performance of these, so if anybody has experience I would like to know any helpful information

US made again , but in stores in the UK and in Germany, for less than the CM units. Three piece fibreglass so very resilient to weather, corrosion and other problems

There is Laminas in Poland www.laminas.com.pl
They manufacture the dishes 1.0 to 2.4 m offset. Material GRP .
In a few weeks they start with new 2.7 offset.
