,when they not life in there homecountry, the have to pay every year 60 franks,or up tp 100,wehn the live, outside of switerland, there is no fix costs!
i read,in newsletters,the cablecom,also offers this ip base package,in switerland,with combination,with german fta channels,they check they ip,so you can only watch,in switerland

for example,to make subsribsion of the zdf package infokanal, and some ,others, you have to pay, ofer 20 swiss franks,in one month

SRG SSR Package Bitrate

The average bitrate for the 6 encrypted channels is 6350 kb/s for video and 192 kb/s for audio.
For the FTA channel SF Info: video 2800 kb/s and 192 kb/s audio.
This is why the channels quality is superb.

Try the site sponsors:
http://www.satellites.co.uk/index.php?page=sponsors
If not available there, search the internet. There might be shops who sell it at inflated price.

SRG SSR Sat access cards

Hi all,
Sorry that I did not see this thread before, as some time ago I looked into getting the card for use at home in the U.K. and when on holiday in Switzerland,

1. If you live in Switzerland you can purchase the card from SRG SSR for a one off charge of 60 CHF but you also have to pay an annual licence fee of 462 CHF ( 2007 price ) as all Swiss households do.

2. If you live outside Switzerland you can purchase the card from SRG SSR using the form
SAT ACCESS Demande de carte, international, which again will cost you a one off charge of 60 CHF, PLUS a annual charge of 120 CHF which has to be paid directly from a bank account.
They will send an aplication form plus the bank form to fill in if you request it, see below.

I think that this charge helps to offset the cost of the licence as you are not resident in Switzerland, but as my German, French, and Italian is not that good ( ie. TERRIBLE ) maybe somone could translate the Information and documents better than I can.
I also think it is designed for Swiss national living outside Switzerland, but as I am a non-Swiss, and with a very English sounding name, I received the requested information and form, but who is to say its not for your Swiss wife.

Links for info are:- ( I hope I can post them here )

_http://www.srg-ssr.ch for general information

and

_http://www.broadcast.ch/

and look for Services > info > Telechargemants and download the PDF file _http://www.broadcast.ch/xportal/tools/getPortalDoc.aspx?DocID=126 Demande de carte Sataccess, international[/URL] for an application form.

It does ask you on the form what model of sat. rec. that you have or what certified module for Viaccess.
Hope it helps, and alas this is all I know as I did not apply for one.

Best Regards

I think that there would be many members who would like to share this info if it is an online store.
A PM would be understandable if someone is willing to help and is not a store.

My System: Sky+ HD

Thanks for this information. I am a Swiss citizen living in London and have been wanting to get a card for a while, but being a complete newbie on all things satellite have failed to do so.

I live in a block of flats with a communal sky dish on the roof. I have sky+ HD in my living room, but also a satellite connection in my bedroom. I would like to set up a second rig in my bedroom with sataccess.

Is anybody able to tell me if I will be able to get this through the sky dish? I am not allowed to put up my own dish.

Also, would it actually be possible to set it up in the living room along side the sky+ box?

All help appreciated. Thanks!

I doubt it BombedOne, perhaps the odd occasional event.
But you can check the programming schedules from the websites.
Their radio channels are great and of a good quality. (Pop, Jazz, Classical, etc.)
