Animated Avatar ?

Hi friends,

I'm opening this thread not really to expose a problem, but just to expose an avatar situation.
I've been trying to upload this image as my avatar :

The size of this one will have to be re-sized.

or this one:

and I get the following message : You may not upload animated images.

I'va used animated image before so I don't know if this is a new issue in the forum. Can you please clarify my doubt.

EDIT : I'm not really sure if this should be posted here or on Suggestions and Feedback on our web site operation. Please move it if it's not supposed to be here.

Thanks

Smile Hi

Sophia

I think you are limited to 70 x 70 size and 31.5 KB gif but the forum software has been upgraded a couple of times so those values may have changed

Edit well there doesn't seem to be anything wrong as 19K is within limits, perhaps it is a setting somewhere that needs changing

Hi Topper,

I think it's not really a problem of size, but of animation of the Avatar (the glittering of the butterflies).

Do you know of any new issue of the forum on this ?

Thanks

Well

Have you tried reducing it to 70 x 70 pixels?, that is how mine was animated but I must confess that I have not tried changing it recently so my first comment still stands, Admin will have to have a look at it if it is a restriction.
I will try changing mine from guinness to cider now

Edit I see the size allowed is 100 pixels X 100 pixels now

Or mine, Rolfs, etc .....

The issue is almost always down to resizing, animation is unlikely to be the issue.

I don't really like to air the information in public so, Santa Eulalia beach in June and I'll spill the beans.
