Lag on site

Hello,

Is anyone else experiancing lag when trying to view site..

seemsonly the top half of the site loads and the lower delays for about 10 seconds..

on the bottom it seems some sort of advert is slowing it down??

the temporary fix is to switch back to the old skin

(right down the bottom left corner of the page.)

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

It seems to be particularly affecting Internet Explorer, my three versions of Firefox all seem to load pretty quickly, whilst my IE takes several seconds.

it runs better on ie6 than it does on ie7.. ive reverted it back as i hate ie7 :@

Well the new version of the new skin, newly adapted by Chris with new larger type in the quick post and newly removed sidebar, seems to be operating with a new vigour. Hopefully it should have solved the IE problems.

Yeshi, have you tried Firefox?

Erm dont like the feel of firefox. might have to give it a go soon though as ie is getting beyond a joke.

My System: sky + good old desktop pc

its because there are a lot of threads and the page is using more mysqul than php, mysql uses cpu and memory rather than internet bandwidth. so it might be your computer. or the ton of adsense on here
