There are some new files available, with reports that they are working on some cards but not others, anyone with a cerbro card might want to try them, please download only from reputable sites, and report the results.
Details of your card, Cam and receiver combination, of working and non-working combinations, would also be helpful.

Cool. I think...

I'd love to know what gives with the Cerebro setup.

As new files are being posted I'm guessing the Cerebro team have the keys, but seem to have lost key personnel for making the files, no pun intended !!!!!
Obviously they want their cards secure, no money if we can access the cards and retrieve the keys, but they also need to make the file compatible with a wide variety of equipment, programmers, receivers, Cams etc....
Alternatively maybe their source, for key updates, got a better offer, so they had to get someone else, either way only time will tell if the support continues and hopefully improves.
Personally I don't think I'll be buying one of these cards, I'll wait to see if anything develops on the Dragon, and if not maybe try a DigitAlb subscription.

Angry 384cz

Tried the 384cz file & did not work. It gave me a "no ATR" at the end of programming the card on the CAS3. Could be an OS problem if there is cards that are working with these new files. My Cereb*o is about a month old, so it must be wieth the first generation of cards that are o.k. If this is the issue on some cards, then an OS update can resolve this.

Hi rato,
did you try the card in your receiver anyway? I have read others having problems with no ATR, but the card has still worked. It would be interesting to know the reason behind this strange method of delivering files, and seemingly untested files !!!!!!!!!
There are a few of these files, on different sites, with mixed results on different cards.
Please keep us updated on your progress.
Best wishes

Sounds logical doesn't it. I think the defector/noob replacement sounds about right. I don't think that key supply is the problem. The time for buying Cerebro was right at the beginning, not now - but then it's easy with hindsight eh?

Might buy an ART card myself, as it has better football coverage. Anything else, I'll definitely wait for.

well looking over at h*sat he has stopped selling cerebro cards, last week you would think they were the next wonder of the world the way they were being premoted.even less interest is the diablo cam, been around for six or so months and not half a dozen sold, then all of a sudden no1 on the selling list.
if keys are not not out across the board and only on one item then the warning signs are there for potential buyers, also noted was the lack of any t-rex or dragon cam, sellers are dictating the market and using this for their own gain.

Yes, that's the way it works!

It's a bit pants for someone who's just bought one, but hey - early adopters take the biggest chance, and get the biggest rewards if it pays off.

If you want the channels that much, then you take that chance. If you're not a gambler, buy an official sub. If you're a tightwad, leave your money in the bank.

You always have a choice.

I've never had a sub. Never say never, but the way I see it, if you don't pay *** all, then everything you get is a bonus.

Hi Mickha,

Yes, I did. With more than one from different download sites and they all gave me the same message on the T-Rex menu: "unknown card".

the dealers have pulled the cards anyway,i didnt buy one,but did a dragon, the diablo seems to have software problems an i dont like the look of it.been around to long and not sold.
it looks like the softcam is best in a box as these can be had for the same price.at least the box is of use if the channels go off.

Thumbs up Files dated 26/07

I did get a ATR o.k. at the end of programming my Cerebro, but it looks like it only works with Kabel D. on 23,5şE which I cannot test due to the fact that in Portugal we are well distant from the footprint that transmits KD. Not working with Premi*re. Downloaded from croteam-sat.org on the Card files page.

Hi rato,
Premiere changed again a couple of days ago, only the Daytona card currently has new files.
There are files, on upload sites, for Cerebro, but they are probably fake or even worse maybe malicious.
I get the feeling Premiere were monitoring the situation, and noticed the problems their last change caused Cerebro, and might change more often now.
Best wishes
Mickha

It will be interesting to watch the Daytona situation now.

Isn't there a new official Premiere card rollout due in a few months?

I can imagine there will be a lot of Cerebro cards for sale soon, on a certain auction site, but unless any support is shown soon, they'll end up in the old card graveyard along with the Opos, Titan, Titanium 2, and many others !!!!!
New cards are already replacing the old ones, K3 for example, and promising more channels, and older members will remember the Knot cards. The only cards I've had, that were good value, were the MII and Titanium, the rest I haven't bothered with.
People who bought the Cerebro 6 months ago claim to have had good value, but the ones who bought them a few weeks ago are obviously not too happy.
It's all part of the hobby that different channels are available at different times, but some cards have proved to be rather disappointing with the support offered.

there are "other" services were the opos, titanium 2 have come in extremly useful, there is a few dragon cams already on that auction site already with people trying to kill it off on other forums, and the cerebro card is a waste of money, what ever the reasons the truth wont be known, there is supposed to be an update out for early cards, but this suggests its not an "official" version.
buyer beware.

You did well with the MII and Tit cards Mickha, both cracking bits of plastic eh?
Fancy picking my lottery numbers this week?

Well, I guess it works both ways. If I see a Cerebro for a fiver, I might have a gamble. I suspect they will all be snapped up for £50 though based on the track record of those crazy Ebayer-types

K3 looks great. Next week it will be arranging coke into nice straight lines. Hey, it's summer - there's no ice to scrape!

The MII had a nice long run on 1W, and the Titanium still occasionally has files for it, including D+ the last time it was cracked !!!!!! But I haven't used a card, except for testing, since getting a Dragon, we'll have to wait for the next development in this hobby, hopefully something before the start of the Premiership.
