Naked eye comet

Theres a new naked eye comet visible in the northern hemisphere. Apparently its suddenly brightened dramatically over the last couple of days.

Its currently in Perseus. (Below the "W" of Cassiopea)

Here you go. The comet is about magnitude 3 at the moment, so should be an easy catch in suitably dark skies. I still havent see it - its been cloudy here the last few days...

Yah - finally seen it. I can JUST see it with the naked eye, but its an easy catch with binocs - just a small fuzzy patch in the sky.

Saw it a few days ago, and it is just a fuzzy lump in the North East of the night sky (and a larger fuzzy lump with binoculars)

No tail, since it's on the retreat, and there is no reason why it's status should change - but the original adjustment in magnitude a couple of days ago is still a mystery.

A weird one, if nothng else.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"
