Nice launch, brilliant booster separation shots as well.

I love the Ariane 5 launches

A clear enough evening to see the boosters flame out and separate!

Ive been watching the launches for 7 or 8 years. I never tire of watching them - they are always great.

Back when I was on dial up it could be a frustrating experience - more than once the rocket went from zero to several hundred feet in the air in two frames!

SO far Ive only seen three dud misions

Hotbird 7 ended up in the Atlantic on Ariane V157 when the Vulcaine engine nozzle broke up

Astra 1K lifted off successfully but failed to separate. She had to be ditched.

NSS 8 was the most spectacular - the Sea Launch rocket blew up on the launchpad!

The best ever coverage was Hotbird 6 - an on board camera allowed us to ride the rocket into space

I have the official press package for the Ariane 501 launch. It's in better shape than the real thing.

Ah yes - the Cluster mission disaster..

(note the video/audio is a little out of synchronisation)

Caused by faulty software.....
