Technomate 6800 - No sound on HD

I've just installed the 6800 and it performs superbly for SD channels (pics and sound) but when I view HD channels (on Astra 28.2E) the picture is there but no sound. What do I need to do?

Hi,
Try selecting a different audio track, see if that fixes it.

I'll try that, it's set to Dolby at the moment.

What does PCM stand for? Is that the TX standard for Freesat HD?

thanks perry is that both hd and sd
pcm=In the digital domain, PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) is the most straightforward mechanism to store audio. The analog audio is sampled in accordance with the Nyquest theorem and the individual samples are stored sequentially in binary format.

The wave file is the most common format for storing PCM data. But, before you dig into the internals of wave files, it would help to get some insights to the Interchange Format Files that form the basis for the wave file format.

Yes, the 6800 is both HD and SD (MPEG2 and MPEG4).

Selecting PCM in the Audio menu solved the sound problem.

Thanks.
