My System: Technomate-6800HD Super Apple Mac + Windows PC's |
Apologies if this question has been asked before but I am in need of some 'expert' knowledge having just retired and keen to learn from others who have gone before me... I have a Technomate 6800HD Super and wish to view feeds some of which are 4:2:2. Is this possible with this receiver and if not can anyone advice a novice how best to achieve this. Thanks in anticipation of some help. | ||

The AZBox HD does AFAIK, or a cheaper method would be to fit a satellite card in your PC - something like a Skystar2 or the HD variant. I use a WinTV Nova HD pci card, with a codec that will resolve 4:2:2 feeds. Llew | ||

Most owners of STBs using Linux will find it hard to begin with, it's just a question of having plenty of time to understand the different way in which the boxes operate. The manuals that come with the boxes will lead you through the basic principles in setting up channels etc. I don't have an AZ box incidentally, I started with a Triple Dragon with no previous knowledge of Linux, but soon got the hang of it, going on to installing Linux systems on my PC. If an oldie like me can figure it out, you shouldn't find it that difficult. Llew | ||
