Moved thread to appropriate section. Llew

Not advisable to have a 'set top' version if your digital signals are on the weak side. Llew

My System: 43cm Dish, Sky Plus V2, Thomson DSI6210 Sky+160, Thomson DSI4214, FRACARRO PENTA 85cm, Invacom Twin, Moteck SG2100a H-H DiSEqC Motor, TF5000CI, TM-5200D, Sling Media, Rover ST-4, Rover SDM-1s, 57E to 58W, Tecatel 1.35m fixed on 28e, Pace D5430-N | You can get a 4 way version of a pre-amplifier rather than use a splitter. This will require a 12V line feed. Amp goes in main aerial feed, power unit can power on any leg of the amplifier. Avoid splitters as you get a loss on them unless you have a massive amount of DVB-T signal

Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum. | Easier to use an active splitter, use the one satelliteman suggests, it can be powered from any one of the TV points.
