Mpeg4 on Sony 40L4000

Hi,

I have a friend who lives at the Irish border and he is starting to get digital terrestial stuff from RTE which needs MPEG4 for HD. He recently got a Sony 40L4000 TV and apparently it has a slot for a card/cam. I think MPEG4 needs a Viacess cam - but this is a card slot!

I was suggesting a cam, but on talking to him on the phone it seems the TV has a PCMCIA card slot!

Anyone know how to get this Sony to receive MPEG4?

TIA,

bobed

Sorry this is in the wrong section! Should be Freeview....

Post moved to terrestrial.

Cannot say I am aware of any HD digital freeview being broadcast at the moment, I was under the impression some tests were all that had happened in London since there is no bandwidth available until analogue has been switched off
