Can TOPUP go into administration ?

If TOPUP was to go into administration, what would happen to it's channel network ? Would FREEVIEW take control of the channel capacity or would OFCOM take control ?

The reason i ask is that with the credit crunch, people may start to leave and just have the basic FREEVIEW network.

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

Presumably the spectrum access/transmission licences would be handed back to Ofcom. They would either readvertise them or hand them over to the psb channels for reuse.

There is a precedent for this hypothetical situation - when ITV Digital/OnDigital went bust in 2002.

There is the chance that if OFCOM gave the licence to FREEVIEW then there could be an extra 4 to 5 channels available. With any luck UKTV could put some extra channels or EUROSPORT might take a spare channel. CNN, VIRGIN 1 or even BBC3 and 4 could go 24 hours
