perfect picture but no audio

hello can anybody help me please.
i have a technomate 5500 dapci and TM 5500ci.which i am using for
sats and terrestrial signals.
i have just bought two technomate 7700va2ci¨s for my parents and friends.
the problem is although i can get the sats on both boxes,the digital terrestrial
signal that i¨m picking up,the picture is perfect but i cannot get any audio.
although the audio is fine on the sats.
i am using the same settings as i use on my 5500 boxes,although i have tried
every other possible setting available.
tried with scart lead,also rf outlet aerial lead and also the audio/video leads.
changed rf tv mode pal-bg,
changed the rgb/cvbs to rgb.
changed uhf,now on 40,but tried 21-69,every setting .
checked mute on/off.
have reloaded the latest technomate firmware,and have also tried 2nd and
3rd version darkman patch.
have also tried changing the audio pids up/down.
can¨t think of anything else to try,anybody any ideas please.

Most, or all, DTT boxes do not have a volume control on the remote, have you tried the TV remote to change volume?

Sorry jacko, but I'm a bit confused, are you saying that these receivers receive terrestrial digital as well? as far as I knew, they were satellite only.

hello aforester,
yes i¨ve tried the volume control on the tv and with the receiver.
it works ok on the 5500 boxes ,but on the 7700 boxes the progress bar goes up and down,but no audio.

yes the 5500 boxes pick up terrestrial digital with a televes dat 45 aerial
the supplier who sold me the 7700 boxes said the specifications were the same
as the 5500 boxes,as these were the boxes i was going to buy.

Make sure that the version in the box is set to PAL I and not PAL G.

pal-1
pal-dk
ntsc
and pal-bg.
rebooted receiver after each change,just in case.still no joy.
